Why I Support Mississippi’s Ballot Initiative to Legalize Medical Marijuana

I support Mississippi’s ballot initiative to legalize medical marijuana.

If you had ever witnessed a 1 year old with uncontrollable seizures then you wouldn’t be asking yourself whether Medical Marijuana should be legal or not…..you’d be asking yourself why it’s taking so long.

If you’d ever held the hand of a patient dying from cancer with uncontrollable pain and nausea then you wouldn’t be asking yourself whether medical marijuana should be legal or not….you’d be asking yourself why it’s taking so long.

But listen, I’m an addiction doctor.  I don’t advocate drug use.  And I don’t believe people should use drugs to escape their problems.

Marijuana is not a cure all and it’s not without risks. That being said, it has potential benefits.  And we need to be having this conversation.

I support Mississippi’s ballot initiative to legalize medical marijuana and I think you should to.

But don’t take my word for it.  Do your own research.
