Zen Buddhism Un-Explained in Less than 60 Seconds

The song was perfect.

Its melody sunk deep.

The verse flowed into the chorus.

The hook was planted and my mind melted.

I was lost inside its rhapsody.

A sailor on an infinite sea.

I wanted the moment to last forever.  I wanted the song to never end.  But nothing lasts forever.

And I allowed the perfection to become my sorrow.

But then I realized: There was another way.

To be alive, ever present.  Released and releasing.

Note for note.

And as the crescendo crested,

I became one with the wave.

But of course…..

There is no wave.

There never was.
