Jiu Jitsu is a game of space.
Sometimes you create space and sometimes you want to close the space. The choice depends on the position you’re in at the time.
Now, don’t worry, I’m not going to bore you with a lot of details here but there’s a point I’m trying to make…so stay with me.
Let’s talk about frames.
A frame in jiu jitsu is a way to make space and a way to keep your opponent from closing space.
You can frame with any part of your body: knees, arms, etc.
There are specific ways to frame that helps keep your opponent from getting a more dominant position.
Think of it like this: They can’t submit you if they can’t reach you.
Frames give you space and time to open up opportunities for you to get the more dominant position. And this is the key point. Because frames themselves don’t do anything, you have to use the frame to then move to a better position.
Suboxone is a frame.
It doesn’t fix your addiction.
It doesn’t heal your brain.
It merely creates the space and time for you to create changes that allow you to get the more dominant position in your life.
So how do you heal your brain?
Simple..
You stop poisoning it.
You start feeding it real food.
You get exercise daily.
You get outside more.
You create more.
And as your body heals, so will your brain.
The more space you have between you and your addiction, the more dominant position you’re going to have to win the fight.
That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy.
But nothing worth doing ever is.
Good luck and Godspeed.
My name is Mike Harkey. I’ve been in a treatment for over 10 years. I take two films a day. Over the past 10 years the same people I met on day one are all still in program? I asked Pathway how many get off of the suboxn? Very few!! I had 5 back operations within 5 years. After the spinal cord stimulator failed. The meds were the only thing that gave me back most of my life. In the beginning!! Then the drugs took hold of my life!!! The worse few years I have ever been through. Almost lost my job. Coopertire. Yeah I know your brother. He knows all about me. Before drugs I was a deacon in our church. Haven’t drank in years. These drugs made my life horrible. I’m still going to Pathway in Hamilton AL. Hour drive and cost about $100.00 I was told about your clinic from one of your patients. I’m good with taking this the rest of my life. I just turned 60.
Thanks so much for your time
Mike Harkey
