I stumbled on a blog the other day.
There were several links to read more about the author. I clicked the first one. It was a Wikipedia biography. It told her story and then ended with her suicide.
It’s a haunting experience. To read from someone that gave up. Their words feel so alive. So fresh and poignant. Yet what they expressed so eloquently on page, was too brutal to face in reality.
I had a friend die the other day. It wasn’t suicide. He had serious health problems. He also had a difficult time out running his drug addiction.
When you go to medical school, you think you’ll be saving lives all day. They don’t tell you that holding the hands of the survivors will be just as important.
