“Aren’t you just trading one drug for another?”
I’ve heard it a million times. And the answer is simple…
No. You’re Not.
I’ve got this kitten. It’s stupid cute. And one day my child accidentally slammed its head in the door.
We thought it was a goner. He was a bit dazed and limped for a few days. But now he’s right as rain. We call him Lucky.
You see, life is like that. Some days you’re gonna feel crushed.
But I’m here to tell you that if you’re struggling with addiction, there is help. And I’m not actually talking about medicine. I’m talking about real recovery. But medicine might help you get there quicker.
In the video below, I discuss things the medical community get wrong about medication assisted therapy, buprenorphine, Suboxone, subutex, etc.
So, if you’re interested in that, feel free to watch the video.
If you’re here because you need to make a big change in your life, stay strong and keep pushing forward. Find a good doctor and get down to business.
Just like Lucky, life might not be easy, but with God all things are possible.
Peace.
“Do it the right way, find a doctor” – if it only would work that way.
I have been trying to do that for YEARS but it just didn’t work and so I decided to do it on my own, which is how I found you.
What are these medications that do not cause addiction and help with getting off buprenorphine, 2 mg in my case, as pain management (not drug addiction treatment)?
Thank you for sharing and being so awesome!
I found a video of you explaining Suboxone for pain. I’m having a hard time trusting the doctors these days. If they’d be honest about their plans and about side effects it sure would help a lot. Watching your video I felt the trust. You’re down to earth and honest so I’m here to ask advise on something. I’ve been on Percocet for pain for several years. I’m up to 6 a day and asked my doctor for one more to get through the day as I need more at night as the pain is worse then. I have inflammatory osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, bad degeneration all over and plantar fasciitis. My doctor sent me to a chronic pain clinic . He said I had to go to them to get stronger meds. They stopped the Percocet and started Oxyneo. Bad reactions. I’m not a depressed person but I was on Oxyneo. Depressed, anxiety, heavy breathing, anger, didn’t care if I died. This was over four days. The same thing happened to me on Amitriptyline and the Butrans patch . With those I could have killed myself or someone else from the anger. Really scared me. Now this doctor wants to put me on Suboxone for the pain but my concern is Suboxone has bupronephrine and so does the Butrans patch. Do you think I would have the same reaction. I’m tired of these side effects and reactions. I have none at all with Percocet. I also started Cymbalta yesterday and feel like a zombie with diarrhea and no sleep. I’ve read a lot of terrible reviews about it and how extremely hard it is to come off it if you need to. I don’t think it’s worth trying. Please any advise from you would be greatly appreciated. I know doctors like people to be off opioids in general but I can’t take cortisone shots anymore as they stopped my body from producing its own cortisol at one point and I went dangerously low. I had to go to a naturopath to figure out what was wrong and I can’t take anti inflammatories anymore as they cause ulcers. Percocet is the only thing that has helped besides the cortisone and anti inflammatories that I can’t take anymore. My pharmacist today told me the doctor won’t keep me on Percocet forever and they’ll eventually cut me off. I don’t abuse them. I just need the help for pain.
Sorry for the long post. I don’t know where else to go. Chronic pain clinic want us off our painkillers. They don’t answer questions honestly and I really felt I could trust your advice from your video.
Thank you.
