Step 2

“What a man believes may be ascertained, not from his creed, but from the assumptions on which he habitually acts.”—George Bernard Shaw

We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

Some find themselves kicking against the gourd, others lying prostrate, while others with a sigh.

However you find yourself- when you arrive at this and actually accept it, your world will change.  Your mind will open and feel free.  The weight of your burdens will be lifted.  It does not matter if you are religious or not. It does not matter if you pray.  It does not matter if you meditate.  It does not matter if you give alms to the poor.  For in your darkness, your Creator brings light.

Only God can restore us.  Restore us to what?  Sanity.  That calm surrender to release the yolk of burden.  To know, that it is done.

Sanity.  The sane life of a child, father, mother, grandparent, friend.  Into the world of problems and torment, unafraid that it will bring us to ruin.  Knowing that our Power has overcome this and is in control.

Sanity.  The adaptation of a simple life.

Sanity.  Financial independence.

Sanity.  Health.

Sanity.  Personal growth.

Sanity.  The mastery of skills.

Sanity.  Relationships.

Sanity.  Family.

Sanity.  Knowing yourself.

Sanity.  Charity.

Sanity.  Creating.

Sanity.  Freedom.

Now go and be free.
