I Have a Simple Solution to the Conor McGregor UFC Title Controversy

Conor McGregor is one of the greatest and highest paid athletes of all time.

He is the lightweight champion and recently held 2 title belts in the UFC (until his featherweight belt was taken away).  Now it’s being reported that his lightweight belt will be taken away……if

If he doesn’t fight to defend it.

He skipped UFC fighting this past year and tried his luck in boxing.  I say luck but McGregor makes his own luck.  And he started his boxing career fighting the greatest boxer of all time, Floyd Mayweather.

McGregor lost.  If you call making $100 million on a fight losing.

McGregor is in a field to himself and I’m not just talking about fighting.  He is a Negotiation King.  Or what Scott Adams would call “master persuader”.

Check out how he responded when Dana White said he would take his belt away if he didn’t defend it:

…you’ve got to entice me now…..I came from a billion-dollar fight…….I want equity…..I want to be a true partner….”

You see what he did?

He took the negotiation to another level.  He never said he wasn’t fighting again.  He kept all options open.  And everyone knows that he’s holding the cards.  Do you blame him?

Are you starting to see that McGregor is not just a fighter.  He’s smarter than all of us.  And we’re just following along.  And yes, whatever he decides, I’ll buy it and watch it.

But now there is a power imbalance in the UFC.  And nature abhors a vacuum.  So what’s the simple solution I propose?  A solution that’s been right under our nose the whole time.

Enter the EBI

That’s right!!!  The Eddie Bravo Invitational.

How does this solve the problem?  Can’t you see?  Isn’t it clear?

McGregor is the King of the Ring and Eddie is the King of the Flat Earth.   Together… their power will be unstoppable.

I am not saying he fight Eddie Bravo.  I am merely saying the EBI is the future.

But it’s going to need some star power.  A bright, shining star.

And McGregor is the biggest star in the business.

If not the world.

And maybe soon… the flat world.

p.s.

What do you think?  Should McGregor have to give up the title?  And who would you like to see him fight?  GSP????????

p.p.s.

I don’t always write about human potential and ability to do the impossible, but when I do, I’ll send you an email. Because it’s always better to be in the know.
